2022 Kenefick Ranch Sauvignon Blanc
The 2022 growing season got off to a quick and early start. Light rains through the winter and warm temps were a catalyst for a great and early vintage. We adjusted the canopy on this Sauvignon Blanc to allow the berries to be sun kissed without full exposure. This allows us full flavor and character impact without excessive sugars while preserving the crisp acidity on the palate. That acidity integrates perfectly with the 25% new Burgundian oak balancing the tropical and fresh grapefruit aromatics while providing an extensive stone fruit finish. The Lees aging in the barrel and new tight grain oak create a nicely weighted fresh cream middle palate.
